Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues,

The Uremic Toxins and Cardiovascular Disease Congress is organised by the European Uremic Toxin Work Group (EUTox WG), a work group of ESAO,
with the local support of the Association of Nephrologists from Picardie and emanates from a collaboration between the Nephrologic teams from the universities of Amiens (France) and Ghent (Belgium).

This meeting was also recognized as a CME of ERA-EDTA.

This congress is the most recent one in a series of three, after Würzburg, Germany (2002), and after Oxford, United Kingdom (2005); each of these meetings had a great success due to the quality of the speakers and the participants.

This congress has an international scope, with an international scientific committee, composed of high level specialists in this area, while up to date topics [mechanisms and treatment of complications of uremic toxicity (e.g. myocardial ischemia, vascular stiffness, cardiovascular calcifications, bone disease and anemia), methods for extra renal blood purification and kidney transplantation] will be discussed. Therefore, this meeting offers an opportunity for you and your colleagues to be present in this forum, making possible an exchange with a large number of doctors and scientists from several countries.
